Colours - the impact on our well-being

Since the beginning of the world, colours have played a fundamental role in nature and have always been present in our daily lives. They not only serve to emphasize the beauty of the surrounding landscape, but are also very important in the animal world, where they play a crucial role in survival and communication.

For example, tree frogs with their bright colour attract the attention of predators but also serve as a deterrent. Pictures of colourful frogs from South America arouse admiration on the Internet, but it is worth remembering that their colourful coat is designed to warn of the toxic neurotoxin they secrete. Fruits with bright colours are a signal to animals that they are nutritious, but also indicate that they are ripe and ready to be eaten.

Colours not only affect the animal world, but also humans. Each colour affects our subconscious and well-being differently. For example, bright interiors make us feel like they are larger than they actually are, while dark ones can have a depressing effect. Colourful interiors, on the other hand, are more cheerful and positive.

Colours can also convey a message, for example, red was once reserved only for members of the aristocracy due to the expensive pigments used to produce this shade. White togas worn by patricians in ancient Rome symbolized their high position in society. White is also recognized as a symbol of purity and innocence.

Ultimately, colours affect how we perceive the world around us. In the past, colours were reserved only for the elite or higher social classes, but today, each of us has an influence on how we colour our world. Properly chosen colours can affect our well-being, mood, and perception of the environment, so it is worth paying attention to them and using their power.
